A few weeks ago, my friends and I decided on a staycation in the Mountains. We took a road trip there from Florida and stopped along the way. I slept half of the time so I can’t really comment on the scenery on the way there, but on the way back, we took the scenic route and I was definitely awake and was able to enjoy the views on the road. The cabin we stayed at was this cozy rustic place in the mountains of Purlear, North Carolina. Read all the way for the exact cabin. Here are three things I loved about my stay there:
1. The View

The cabin offered two different views. The front view allowed you to watch the sunset and the back offered spectacular sunrises. The cabin conveniently had glass doors that allowed you to indulge in the beautiful scenery at all times of the day. This was probably my favorite part. Somehow being able to appreciate the view whether I was editing or just spending quality time with my friends was definitely a plus. I must have said that I love the view a thousand times during the day. It also created an ethereal atmosphere as if you are always in nature when sunsets and sunrises happen. It was foggy in the mornings and when it rained, but I didn’t mind. I appreciated the weather for what it was every single day. Yes, even the fog.
2. The Location

Another favorite of mine was the location. The cabin is located in the mountains deep in nature. We were surrounded by trees on all sides. However, there are other properties in the area, so it wasn’t too isolated. It was the perfect mixture of having peace and quiet in nature while still having people not too far away. At night, we could hear wild animals and I even got to see a family of deers which was the highlight of my stay.
3. The Décor
The cabin was very well decorated with the theme being very rustic while being cozy. I wasn’t very fond of the animal heads on the wall though. Although small looking from the outside, the place had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. My favorite room was the bedroom upstairs that I slept in. I might have squealed of excitement when I saw it. I love architecture and designs and this one was perfect. It was almost exactly how I pictured myself designing a room in a cabin. I even loved the smell of wood that permeated the place.
I am pretty sure that if you made it this far, you want to know the exact location of this place as a few of you have already asked me on social media. Well, here’s the exact link. You might want to book early as it’s a very popular place and for good reason! Thank you for reading. I’ll catch up in the next blog post.
